Here we have paintings that come from seeing through the flatt surface that is to be painted on.

Like a window.

By a gesture of the will, an imaginary room can be established.

In a lucky glimpse, what appears within this imaginary room can be clearly seen.

Then by painting on the surface, what is seen, is marked and sealed. Until I see nothing.

I view these paintings as interiors.
