Here we have Landscapes and Still life's.
I view the process of painting from the eye as a means of entering into the state of seeing.
For most of the time I stand in my own way, and what I look at, at a dim distance.
But when I gather myself and direct my attention at a landscape, I can encounter it with a greater intimacy than my habitual vision would otherwise allow.
A tremor then arise in the breath and body at the sight of the given landscape, which can then be automatically transposed onto the surface I have chosen to paint on.
